I wasn't expecting it either!

I walked up to a display section in Kinokuniya with my hands full of the Earthsea Quartet (which I've never read) and the recently translated Children Of The New World by Assai Djebar (who will win the Nobel Prize next yeaer), when the name 'Steig Larrson' came into my head. There was no obvious reason for me to think this name as the books facing were not his, but when I came closer, stacked behind another pile, there was this one!

Spooky, mystic, weird, eh?

I actually went to sleep early (midnight) last night, forced myself to only read the first two chapters... no let-up in the tension, man what a great read.

... we're not the only ones ranting about libertarians.

MomMad: not you too? Part of a Secret Service conspiracy??

Rambow: Yes "Mark" put The Age link to same story in the 'Demons' post this morning, and I put it on Facebook too. Very amusing - wish I'd had some of those put-downs on hand at the time of the visit!

p.s. how are "the boys" after that soccer incident?
