Fixed? Not!

The pin came out of the band of his watch when he caught it on the edge of a cupboard (don't ask). Brilliant engineer E@L "fixed" it.

Sigh.

Well at least your won't be putting many scratches on the face?

My verification word is 'psychlo' is that the correct term for the crazy guys peddling tourists around in SEA?

And why don't you have a gold watch? Rich guy, in Asia, ....

Sorry, for a moment I got my words mixed up - psychlo / seiko.

Bugger, you nearly lost the pin but I've lost the thread...

Good call on the good watch. After living in HK for a while I thought you would have been forced into what seems like every 2nd shop in Causeway Bay to buy a Rolex. A Good Swiss watch should be essentially wearing for everyone in the Asian money spots.

Yes this was a pretty average post but I had to comment since today's verification word is 'mated'

Sheer genius!!!

And Scott. Don't think he didn't buy the Rolex, he's just lost it!!!

I HAVE a Rolex or two, but in negotiation at the Low Wu station, my Chinesefriend couldn't get the price down for us, so instead he bargained for a double Warranty! WTF! Like the girl would still be standing by this pillar with the same suitcases of Timex based copy-watches.

I really don't get the recent conspicuous consumption Swiss watches, and all their ads filling "men's interest' magazines. WTF? It's still 4;50pm no matter how much your watch cost...

Yeah, to be honest, those automatic Seikos are perfect if you travel a lot. Show time, date and day, don't need winding, easy to change the time zone, and waterproof with a metal band so you never need to take em off... (except perhaps upon 'intimate occasions', they can impede sliding arms under supple bodies).

I'd be on about my third one now, but upgraded to a similar Citizen auto (expensive, cost about S$230!).

(....and I'm probably due for about my 3rd 'intimate occasion' now, too.)

Marke: I have had some issues with them keeping good time though, the last one was always 5mins ahead with two days of correcting it. The winder eventually got sticky/jammed and I had trouble adjustign it so I bought this one (after *several* [I never learn] horrendous and expensive mistakes in getting white-faced watches with silver hands - look great on the brochure but I can't see what time it is!)

Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care?

Cheech: Hey hippy! Wanna buy a watch?
Chong: I'm not into time.
