Question Your Child Might Ask

If you build a building and construct a construction, do you edify an edifice?

~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, No1 son, you can face a facade. And a firing squad.
Umm, MY child obviously! "Child" being a technical term of progeneration - he is a 31yo adult.
And Mr Knbster: may I build your vocabulary with this edifying quote?
edify verb (edifies, edified, edifying) formal: to improve the mind or morals of someone. edification noun. edifying adj: intellectually or morally stimulating. edifyingly adverb.
ETYMOLOGY: 14c: from French édifier, from Latin aedificare: to build.
Um, Eiffel limerick? Dunno. How about an aweful one instead?
There was a young man from St Ives
Who was stung on the hand by a bee
When asked, "Does it hurt?"
He replied, "Yes it does!
But I'm glad that it wasn't a wasp!"
