English Journalism - Oxymoron?

Or just moronic? Fuck me, crop circles make The Telegraph.

Phoenix crop circle may predict end of the world
Crop circle experts believe the latest pattern to be discovered, a phoenix rising from the flames in Wiltshire, may give a warning about the end of the world.

Can Erik Von Daniken be far behind?

I love the comment from Felicity -

"Publishing such rubbish only predicts one thing: the end of the intelligent world.

  5. Istvan: I am sure it was a profound piece of journalism.

Sav: watsisname from old BBC series The Young Ones was in lust with FK. V funny running gag.

  9. thereby proving once more that journalists are idiots who don't hesitate before spewing out the first thing they hear, or worse, pops into their heads.

  10. Man, I so have forgotten The Young Ones. Wasn't it the hippy dude who had the Felicity Kendal thing? Can't recall. I only remember Adrian, when asked how badly it was raining, sticks a glass out of the window, pulls back a glassful of slime and deadpans "it's gobbing".

  12. Knob: unlike us bloggers...

Jay: R(w)ick - it's hard type how he pronounced his name - the trendy anarchist people's poet who worshipped Cliff Richard and had a hard-on for FK, played by Rik Mayall. From '82-'84.

  13. Jay: re Journey, you shold put that comment up on at The Telegraph. LOL!

  14. Aye alas comments are closed. Don't think I didn't try.

Re: Von Daniken. Well we're coming towards an end of a 70's renaissance so it wouldn't surprise me if Von Daniken and Hal Lindsey are resurrected. Perhaps a pyramid under the bed might help the libido or at least reduce the pain.

  15. yes, but you don't expect to be paid and you don't expect to be taken seriously! no wonder so many people prefer the daily show.

  16. Jay: if you see a link to "Mystic Bourgeousie" in my sidebar you shollow chase that 'new age' thought up.

Knob: all I want is to be as smart and popular as John Stewart. I'm working on the dumbfounded look he does so well.
